7. Relationship to Governance

Governance ensures that artifacts subscribe to Domain of Concern requirements.

Governance MUST ensure that:

  • the artifact declares its Domain of Concern,
  • the artifact type is admissible for that domain,
  • the evidence used by the artifact is traceable,
  • the mediation vector is populated from admissible evidence,
  • calculations remain empirical,
  • uncertainty is represented,
  • observer authority is declared,
  • verdicts are recorded,
  • governance feedback is enforceable.

Governance SHOULD NOT assert quality directly without a declared Domain of Concern and empirical concern calculation.

Governance makes the artifact evaluable.

The Domain of Concern makes the evaluation meaningful.

The mediation vector makes the evaluation calculable.
