5. Non-Goals

D-DNA does not replace:

formal verification
safety engineering
identity systems
access-control systems
aviation certification
rules of engagement
human accountability
legal review
medical governance
incident investigation

D-DNA does not prove that an autonomous system was morally correct.

D-DNA does not guarantee that the underlying sensor data was true.

D-DNA does not eliminate the need for human review.

D-DNA provides signed, replayable evidence of what governance state was evaluated and what decision/action chain occurred.
