2. Motivation
Enterprises increasingly consume AI through purchased products: SaaS copilots, PaaS model services, embedded AI features, and autonomous agents. This creates a governance gap:
- The enterprise is accountable for AI risk but does not control the vendor’s implementation.
- The vendor must prove trustworthy behavior without exposing proprietary internals.
- Enterprise procurement teams need reusable, machine-readable evidence — not custom questionnaires.
- Risks emerge over time (drift, escalation, repeated violations), not in single events.
